Ships are the core units in Sirocco, directly controlled by players during a match. Each ship has three unique abilities and a built-in Repair ability used to restore health and survive in combat.

Players begin each match with Sampan and unlock additional ships by spending upgrades in Repair, Reinforcement, or Accelerator. Each upgrade counts equally toward unlocking ships, but which ships require fewer or more upgrades is randomized every match, encouraging players to adapt and experiment with different options.

Ships can only be swapped while docked in the Harbor, and switching has a 45-second cooldown. There’s no limit to how many times you can switch ships during a match.

All ships always have access to their full ability kit. Abilities level up automatically over time, becoming stronger as the match progresses. Ships also gain increased health, speed, and mass as they level up — depending on their ship size.

Every fourth level grants an Augment, which can be used to modify or enhance a ship’s abilities. Augments can be reset up to three times per match while in the Harbor.
